Ways of Finding A Good Bible Believing Church

There are so many churches and denominations that are available these days. You will also find that these churches are teaching different types of doctrines. With all these, the process of finding a Bible-believing church is not natural. When looking for Bible-believing church, an entire parking lot should not convince that it is. The list of events or how impressive it looks from the outside should also not be the convincing factor when looking for a good church. You will be doing a big mistake by believing a church because of how it looks from the outside.. Also by attending a mega church, it is not a guarantee that you will be taught according to to the Bible.

Clear and short is how the Bible-based teachings should be. They should also be descriptive and easy to understand. Expository means the instructions that shed light on a specific verse of the Bible. This also looks to make the easy to understand and not make it unnecessarily complicated. A pastor is supposed to give a clear explanation on verses. Giving a precise meaning to what the original author was intending is what this means. This explanation should be easy to understand. The message should bring out the background of the church, the culture of that time, and why and for what reason a particular Bible verse was written.

The teachings that come straight from the Word of God are the most critical part of the message. You could be in the wrong church if the message they are preaching is not from the Word of God. The Word of God is supposed to afflict the comfortable and also comfort the afflicted. These days, many churches are focusing on the wealth and the prosperity gospel. You should avoid becoming a member of such kind of a church. The Word of God is meant for convicting and convincing and not to advise you on how to live wealthier.

You can, therefore, tell if the church is a Bible-based one if they remain in the scriptures. The church you choose Should also not be the kind where the Old Testament is said to be irrelevant. When a specific church is Bible-based, even the young children should be taught the word of God. Bible studies are also necessary, and therefore the church you choose should have them. It should also be the kind of church where the pastor encourages you to read the Word of God all through the week. Reaching out to the city is also another character to look for in a Bible-based church.
